The HTML version of that document is now out-of-date.
The July, 1997, version of this piece was posted in "quick analysis" form in order to facilitate quick development by others in the Bootstrap Alliance. That version was, as I announced in the email announcing the posting -- unedited for spelling and grammar. The work continues on the concepts suggested in that first document. After Doug and Christina Engelbart recommended the piece and referenced the URL in the Bootstrap Alliance newsletter and on seeing that it was being cited in other BA communications, I decided to make the minor edits necessary which would allow the document to be called "English." :-) Revised DocumentThe revised document was made available on November 15, 1997. Only the PDF version is currently available. As before, the PDF version contains better versions of the illustrations and the formulas, which are integral to the text. New to this edition of the PDF version is a complete bookmark list and full linking. (And it is still smaller than the total bundle for the HTML version.)
